Brian was born in New Jersey, but as the son of a Naval Officer, he moved around the country quite a bit. His family finally settled in southern San Diego County when he was very young. He grew up surfing, skateboarding and hanging out at the beach most of his life. In 2004, he put away the board shorts and moved to the mountains of Julian, California to pursue a career as a wild land firefighter.
Brian worked for over 14 years in the backcountry as a fire fighter with CalFire. He retired from CalFire as a Fire Captain a few years ago, and teamed with his wife Molly in their small business adventure. He spent a lot of his years wood working just for a hobby and enjoying hours in the wood shop. They opened their first retail store, Merdo Acres Wood Design Studio, at Julian Station and are open weekends for the public to purchase their handmade wood and epoxy art. Since living off the grid and in the backcountry is in his blood, he's excited to continue his next career adventure with his wife, Molly, and with FHL Realty, Inc. to help others in finding their dream homes or perfect getaways.

Local expertise is essential for a successful real estate transaction.
“After exploring many other possibilities, I’ve found rural San Diego ideal for enjoying the outdoors. I love having four distinct seasons, small town living, yet being close to family in the city. Where else can you play in the snow, enjoy desert wildflowers, swim in the ocean, and be home to see the stars all in one day?”
